The Memorial Club has, like most crown greens, it’s own nuances which make it a delight for both the novice and the experienced bowler. This - almost by definition - brings similarly different styles of bowlers. This section is dedicated to the players, teams and competitions - not all of them within a league structure. The clubhouse sits conveniently past the ample parking area opposite the green for those after-match debates and disabled access points mean everyone is able to get as close to the action as they would like.
The club is a member of the Cheshire Bowls Association and has produced county standard players in the past. Currently there are no less than 7 teams who have their base here - four teams play in the Knutsford League and three in the Friday night league.
There is an organised and full calendar of bowls events - over and above the league games that are played each night from Tuesday to Friday - on Sunday’s throughout the season with many of the trophies named after past members.
Entry is open, low cost and on the day. With Monday night the only weekday night when bowls is not played at present, there are plans to create a ladies only league team in the near future.
